Ariana's Story

Students' Corner

Story by: Ariana Hansen

As a student, getting involved in the Wisconsin Sociological Association can be beneficial in many great ways. First, it is an outstanding opportunity for leadership and connections. Networking with other sociology students and professors is the best way to get your foot in the door for your future. Getting advice and words of wisdom from someone else is an out-standing way to grow not only as a student, but as an individual. Another reason WSA is beneficial is be-cause of the awards it presents. There is a student paper competition that can vary in subject nature, but it is a great way for one to further their sociological knowledge. Keeping up to date with all the sociologi-cal news is another reason WSA is enjoyable. Why not expand your expertise while expanding your connec-tions?! WSA is an outstanding organization that can lead a sociologist to a bright and successful future!
