To stimulate discussion, encourage research, improve instruction, and promote local to international interdisciplinary collaboration.

WSA has been a long-standing tradition in the Sociology Department at UW-Whitewater. I encourage all Wisconsin sociologists to get involved in this important organization.

Meet the Officers

The purpose of the Wisconsin Sociological Association (WSA) is to:

* stimulate discussion of sociological issues

* improve the instruction of the social sciences at all levels of the
  educational system

* encourage the development and funding of scholarly research

* encourage cooperative relations among those engaged in the scientific
  study of society

Anyone who shares the purpose and interests of the WSA is invited to sign up for membership. To learn more about the WSA, please explore our website or contact one of the WSA officers.

WISCONSIN SOCIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION

WSA has provided a venue for Carthage College students to present research in a professional manner, attend awards ceremonies and meet with faculty and students around the state. For many of us, WSA is a superb introduction to professional conferences and networks in a non-threatening, supportive and lively format.
